Review: Apartment 1B

I read this post about Apartment 1B about two months ago. Unfortunately, something always came up whenever I planned something.

Finally, we were able to go there last week and tried all the dishes that tanya (the blogger) recommended.

Here’s a quick review:

• The carbonara was good but was not really as creamy as I would have wanted.
• I am not really a fan of roasted chicken (ala Kenny Rogers) but the one they had was simply superb
• The Frozen Pie was (as the blogger said) a definite winner. Yummy!
• The dining experience was great. The ambiance set the mood for a wonderful conversation with my GG.

My GG and I agree that we will definitely visit again… but only when we go below our monthly budget and have some cash to spare. =)

Tagaytay 2007

About two months ago, Alaine and I celebrated our three year anniversary. Although we were not able to do everything we had planned (like going to Taal and other places), we still ended up having a great time… visiting new places and just simply having some quality time together.

Our first stop was Buon Giorno @ Cliff House. I read about their Opium Bed from “Our Awesome Planet” and made reservations for it a couple of days before the trip. We then tried looking for the Flower Garden but ended up in Paradizoo instead. We went on a quick tour, checking out the farm animals there, before heading over to their affiliate resort, Residence Inn, to check out the exotic animals. Yey found the guts to have her picture taken with the baby tiger. =)

Next, although we were running out of time, Yey convinced me to take her horseback riding. She has never done it before so was really excited to get on the horse. She did not finish the allowed time though as her bottom started to hurt. Haha…

Finally, we headed over to Sonya’s Garden. We’ve heard lots of things about this place so we just had to check it out to see what the buzz was all about. The massage service and food were good but I don’t really think it was worth the amount of money. Still, it was a good experience for both of us.

Our final stop at Tagaytay was Rowena’s for their famous buko tarts. =) Just some pasalubong for our loving families.

All in all it was a great trip… not because of the new places and food but because I got to spend it with my GG. Thanks, Yey!

I am such a lucky guy…

I was being an O.C. the other day, cleaning up the files and organizing the folders on my laptop when I came upon a file which is a couple of months old. The movie was created by my girlfriend for our one year anniversary. What makes it special is that she has never used Windows Movie Maker before and she is not really a techie like myself but she took the effort because she wanted to surprise me.

And surprise me she did. She told me that it was a CVC report she was preparing for her office and that she wanted my opinion.

Moments of Love

Yup, I actually watched that cheesy movie “Moments of Love” last Sat. And yes, I did enjoy it a bit. The storyline was pretty predictable but there were some good funny lines.

What irritated me were the people sitting behind us who don’t seem to know the meaning of whisper. Aargh!!! So you know the next scene, WHO CARES.. I wanted to shut them up, but my GG wouldn’t let me. I guess they’re too old to learn new tricks anyway. Sorry.. just ranting!!!

By the way, I tried to search “Moments of Love movie” on the net and there’s actually a porn movie of the same title. Hehe
