Don’t take it from me because mine sure is NOT interesting.
I was going through some archived mail and found this link to a site which calculates how much your blog is worth. So I decided to check it out and guess what my current blog is worth. A measly $564.54. My old blog (which has been stopped) at blogger is even doing better at $2,258.16. How bad is that…
So now, I’m trying to think of ways to make this blog more interesting:
- Have more romantic posts for the most beautiful girl in the world, my GG of course!
- Some of my readers might be turned off by the mushiness/cheeziness
- Then again, I do not care. This is MY blog. Just kiddin’
- More pictures?
- Hmmm.. might not help!
- Writing more posts about my field of work (IT)?
- Geek alert!
- I might go through with this but it will probably be another blog site altogether.
- Start bashing people?
- Oh, this is soooo tempting.
- I’ll probably give in to this but just keep there identities. Come to think of it, that might make this more interesting.
- Start including smut here.
- I saw this interesting title in the posts of one of the blogs that I am subscribed to: “The web is all about sex & shopping“
- Maybe NOT!

depends really on your purpose of blogging eh… like mine, its supposed to be for myself and random strangers na taga tabulas lang dapat hehehe….. dahil i put in personal stuffs which i dont normally share… ngayon lang medyo nadagdagan ng readers kaya either i try to “censorize” yung mga dapat nakacensor hehehe.. pero its still about the things i experience in life or i find interesting or happy to blog about… =p but that’s me hehehe…

Honesty!
A blog is about your personal experiences whether actual or just thoughts on some things you see. Making it interesting for other people defeats the purpose of your blog because it is suppose to be about you and your thoughts of the world =)
Write stuff about your faith and that’ll make your blog more boring. Take it from me. The least comments that I get from my blog are those where I purely talk about my faith and service. But as you said, who cares! This is MY blog. Hehe. 🙂
TA, topics about faith are those that interest me more… especially from people who are also in the community because that’s where I also try to relate my experiences or learn from your realizations… So I hope this would encourage you guys more to blog about it hehehe..

The best way to figure out this is by positioning ourselves as a reader.
For me, I would love to read blogs that are creative, critical and beneficial.
If we only think it’s our own blog and we can put up whatever we like, then why bother about trying to get it more interesting to attract readers? Hahha

I’m in the exact same dilema, although truth be told, you write a lot better than i do. Were you able to establish any rules as to what makes a blog interesting?
